He is survived by: his wife Mary Joyce Weathington; and his children, James Bryant "Jimmy" Kirkland, Terry Lamont Kirkland, Jody Gavin Kirkland, Steve Weathington, Tammy Geralds, Alicia Cole, Charles Weathington and Renee Weathington. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
