She is survived by: her children, Mark Snell, Margie Doster (Jim), Dewayne Maddox (Penny), Melinda Stevens (Robert), Travis Whiting (Patty), Helen Schierbaum (Dennis), John Whiting (Susan) and David Whiting (Judy).
She was recognized for her selfless service when she was nominated for the 2003 Jefferson Award, reflecting the widespread appreciation for her contribution to the community.
