He is survived by: his wife Margaret; his sons, John Jr. (Jean) of Marianna and Michael (Keisha) of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; his grandchildren, Jed, Jamie Olivia, Michael, Jack and Sean; and his siblings, Shirley Yates, Troy McCoy (Debra), Sheryl Boone (Hayes), Edward McCoy, Drucile Hagan (Willis) and Julianne Martin. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
