He is survived by: his wife Kathryn; his children, Kathy Roberts Clark (Steven) of Cleveland, Mississippi, Russell Sterling Roberts of Marianna and John Young Roberts (Kristin) of Marianna; his grandchildren, Lily Kathryn Roberts, Kathryn Reese Clark, William Edward Clark and Graham Young Roberts; his sister Carolyn Majors (Mike) of Marianna; and his cousins, Russell Gray of Atlanta and Janet Stephenson (Juddy).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Chipola College Foundation, Inc., a foundation John helped to establish in 1980 with other community leaders or to the First United Methodist Church in Marianna.
