He was predeceased by: his father Melvin Crutchfield; his wife Carolyn Crutchfield of Virginia; and his sister Elnora Griffin. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Kelsey Lynn Shuler (Jonathan "Kendel" Shuler) of Bristol, FL and Shelley Paige Dryden of Pensacola, FL; and his great grandchild Layken Rae Shuler.
