It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margaret Smith Pagels of Marianna, Florida, who passed away on August 13, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Walter E. Pagels; her parents, Comer Smith and Ethel Smith; her brother James Smith; her siblings-in-law, Emma Jane Smith and Jerry Glass; and her son-in-law Randy Fox.

She is survived by: her children, Allen E. Ward, II (Laurie), Angela Ward Fox, Malissa Ann Fariss (Michael), Tina Jo Ramey (Mase) and Walter "Bud" E. Pagels, II; her siblings, Herbert Smith (Hilda) and Carolyn S. Glass; her grandchildren, Whitney Ward Burleson (Jim), Connor Ward Oliver (Cameron), Camile Brynn Fox Hayden (Aaron), Lauren Christine Fox, Bailey Margaret Fox, Mary Grace Elizabeth Fox, Michael Ethan Fariss, Hannah Claire Fariss, Tise Daniel Ramey and Victoria Laura Ramey; and her great grandchildren, Mabry Olive Burleson, Wilder Orion Burleson and Emmalee Fay Oliver. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
