She was predeceased by: her parents, Clant Johnson and Mabel Johnson of Alabama; her brothers, Maurice and Ronnie Johnson; and her husbands, James Ray Ward (Tere) of Chipley and Herman Griffin (William) of Crystal River, FL..

She is survived by: her children, Tere Ward Morrisseau (Rob) of Cottondale, FL and William Griffin (Amy) of Tallahassee; her sisters, Martha Wilson, Glinda Floyd and Shirley Clark (Bobby); and her close friends, Delia "Dee" Bell and Gail Patterson. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
