With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Roy Gilmore of Marianna, Florida, who passed away on May 28, 2023 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Jessie Ruth Gilmore; his parents, Roy Lee and Estee Melvin Gilmore; his brother James Carl (Mary Elizabeth Gilmore); his daughter-in-law Heather Gilmore; his granddaughter Madeline Gilmore; and his brothers-in-law, J. C. "Junior" (Evelyn Kirkland Griffin) and Charles Wendell "Shorty" Sowell (Martha Lou).
He is survived by: his sons, Darwin Gilmore (Cheri) and Jason Gilmore (Carolyn); his brother Pete Gilmore (Shirley) of Marianna, FL; and his grandchildren, Gray Gilmore (Jessica) of Birmingham, AL, Seth Gilmore of Birmingham, AL, Emily Johnson (Chandler) of Poplar Springs, FL, James Adam Gilmore of Poplar Springs, FL, Kendall Smith of Marianna and Neal Smith of Marianna. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
