He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Hinton Smith, Jr. and Betty Cumbie Smith; his uncle Dr. William Gary Cumbie (Carolyn) of Andalusia, AL; and his granddaughter Hannah Mercy Smith. He is survived by: his wife Karen Greening Smith; his sons, Joshua Wade Smith (Melissa) of Travelers Rest, SC, Matthew Sean Smith (Sarah) of Guatemala and Nathan Cumbie Smith (Kelly) of Tallahassee, FL; his siblings, Samuel Earl Smith of Marianna, David Gary Smith (Rachel) of Marianna and Betty Ann Byxbe (Ronald) of Dublin, GA; and his grandchildren, Anneliese, Corrin, Lucy Smith, Abbott, Oscar Smith, Wyatt and Easton Smith. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
