It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bill Adkins of Mayo, Florida, who passed away on October 4, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Maggie Adkins-Cannon and Alvin Adkins; his children, Becky Adkins and Lonny Hempstead; and his siblings, Emma Russell, Nellie Suttley, Gracie Gamble, Johnny Adkins, Bob Adkins, Junior Adkins and Joe Adkins.

He is survived by: his wife Gerry Adkins; his sisters, Louise Starling and Polly Whitehouse; and his children, Boyd Adkins, Billy Joe Adkins, Marcy Hempstead, Ronny Adkins-Bond, Shannan Palmer and Calvin Adkins. He is also survived by his grandchildren and great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
