Virginia Thompson Hanson Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Virginia Thompson Hanson in Mayo, Florida, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 7, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawson Forrest and Mildred Thompson; her husband Tom "Tommy" Hanson; and her son-in-law Ken Scheiderman. She is survived by: her siblings, Lawson Jr., Marjorie "Margie" and Barbara; her children, Philip Hanson (Cindy), David Hanson (Anne), Robin H. Scheiderman and Karen H. Vaughn (Rob); her grandsons, Will and David Vaughn; and her sister Jane Skogstad (Sam). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand dogs, cats and horses.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Ponte Vedra Valley Funeral Home (4750 Palm Vly Rd, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL 32082). A burial will be held on Friday, November 28th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
