He was predeceased by: his parent Russell Hopkins; his wife Ruth "Peachie" Hopkins; his mother Flora Hopkins Sheffield; his stepfather Sam Sheffield; and his siblings, John Hopkins and Louise McBride.
He is survived by: his children, Dwight Hopkins (Sue), Rhonda Killam of McDavid, Florida and Margo Robbins (Matt) of McDavid, Florida; his grandchildren, Harmony Ramsey (Mike), Aaron Killam (Julie Adkinson), Amanda Calloway, Sheldon Robbins (Kelly), Helena Hopkins and Tristan Hopkins (Erin); his great grandchildren, Logan Bell, MacKenzie Bell, Evan Ramsey, Annasyn Adkinson, Olivia Adkinson, Lyla Calloway, Kase Calloway, Madison Robbins, Maddox Robbins and Henry Hopkins; and his siblings-in-law, Betty Blanton (Kenneth) and Pete Singleton. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Craver's Funeral Home (1811 W State Line Rd, Flomaton, AL 36441). A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
