“I just found out about Dan's passing today when reading my MCV Foundation journal and apologize for the tardiness of these comments. Sadly, I realize my Christmas card to him and his family this year never reached him. I will remember him from medical school as a brilliant, compassionate friend. As per family wishes, I will donate to the American Heart Association in his behalf and want to extend my deepest sympathies to his family, wishing them comfort and solace in this time of need.”
