He was predeceased by : his mother Lillian Matthies; and his grandparents, Frederick, Irma Rabe, Harold and Inge Matthies.
He is survived by : his father David Matthies; his siblings, Duane Matthies (Darcy), Darryll Matthies (Debbie), Loni Gerlach (Thomas) and Becky Meyer (Dan); his nieces and nephews, Emily Matthies (Justin Needler), Allison Schultz (Josh), Courtney Matthies, Derek Matthies (Jessica), Nicole Schmitt (Caleb), Kimberly Domine (Evan), Rachel Dickerson (Nicolas), Tommy Gerlach, Ashley Paschke (Logan), Brittany Kohlmann (Jayson), Melissa Meyer (Shae Ruelle) and Andie Meyer; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Cruse Needler, Tyler Schultz, Dawson Matthies, Bentley Austin, Brinley Domine, Brayden Domine and Grayson Kohlmann.
In Lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in Doug's name.
