He is survived by: his wife Patricia "Patty" Marie Yap (Bowman); his children, Gary Leon Yap, Lisa Frances Sugimura (Sean Sugimura), Andrew Kekailoa Yap and Kelci Makamae Yap; his stepdaughter Jessica Bowman (Jonathan Sanchez); his grandchildren, Samantha Yap, Shayley Beth Yap, Kaeo Sugimura, Kiara Sugimura and Kaliya Yap; his sisters, Letha Palmanteer (Monte), Yolanda Domyan, Sylvia Brown (Roger), Mary Pascua (Randy), Theresa Yap (Rudy Piano), Dodie Kekuewa (Isaac) and Pauline Yap (Norman Miyasato); his pet Oliver; and also Pumpkin. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, uncles, aunts, and cousins.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Cape Canaveral National Cemetery.
