He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard H. Arey and Lola Conner Arey; his daughter Jennifer Arey; and his sisters, Bernice Clarke and Dorothy Kasten.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce; his daughter Kelly Deich; his granddaughters, Clara and Adelaide; and his brother Donald Arey. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
