He is survived by: his sister Judy Duerr; his daughters, Michele LaPage of Melbourne and Suzanne Sherman of Melbourne; his grandchildren, Brittany Cooper (Sherman) of Texas and William Sherman, IV of Melbourne; and his great grandchildren, McKenzie Withrow-Sherman of Melbourne and James Cooper of Texas.
No service is planned, in lieu of flowers, donations in his honor may be made to the Berlin Fire Department in Berlin, Connecticut: Berlin Fire Department.
