It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Paul E. Gackenheimer in Melbourne, Florida, born in Troy, New York, who passed away on July 25, 2025, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Though Paul may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Paul touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Gackenheimer and Helene Murphy Gackenheimer. He is survived by: his wife Lucia B. Pozza; his daughter Leah Caola (Richard); his grandchildren, Nico and Jordi Caola; and his sister Judy Dilmore (Roger).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. (276 Pawling Ave, Troy, NY 12180). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery (200 Duell Rd, Schuylerville, NY 12871).
