He was predeceased by: his grandson Skylar Jason Nigh; and his parents, Richard E. Nigh and Roberta "Bobbi" J. Nigh (Brown). He is survived by: his wife Mary Ellen Nigh (Shannon); his children, Shawn J. "Ellie" Nigh and Richard E. Nigh III (Mindy); his granddaughter Hope F. Nigh; and his sisters, Linda Stewart (Tom), Rebecca "Becky" Prosser and Johanna "Joie" Beemer (Greg).
