She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Friend and Evelyn Friend; her in-laws, William and Constance Schmitt; her brother Michael Friend; and her sisters-in-law, Laurel Schmitt and Maureen Friend.

She is survived by: her husband Michael; her sons, Steven (Heather) and Scott (Karina); her grandchildren, Emerson, Anna and Henrietta; her siblings, Carol Short (Donald), Charles Friend (Karen), William Friend and Robert Friend; and her siblings-in-law, Ann Friend, Linda Schmitt (Ken), Roger Schmitt (Marian) and Brian Schmitt (Victoria Ishee). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
