He was predeceased by: his mother Nancy Fraizer Taylor; and his stepfather Bob Taylor. He is survived by: his father Thomas Wells of Melbourne, FL; his daughters, Candida Wells and Nancy Wells of Titusville, FL; his grandchildren, Madison, Mila, Mariah, Tristen, Trevin and Jenna; his former wife Gloriann Wells; his sister Kathy Poteet (Randy); and his sibling's children, Tanya Mazzullo (John) and Ray Poteet.

In lieu of flowers the family requested that donations be made in Samuel's honor to Path Apostolic church.
