He was predeceased by : his parents, Locksmith Walter Martin and Irmgard Martin. He is survived by : his stepfather Jack Hughes; his sister Ulla Love (Colonel Jack Love); his nephews, Jack Love Jr. and Danny Love; his niece Theresa Ann Love; and his friend Kurt Seifert.

“Walter, I’ve only known you about 4 years, but I will miss seeing you walk early in the morning. I am grateful that I had the opportunity to pray with you this last year. You weren’t quite sure how to respond when I would tell you “I love ya’, Walter: but Jesus loves you more!” But in the last six months you just smiled about it. One morning, when I said that and turned to walk away, you said, “I love you, too.” It made my day! I know you are now walking with Him on golden streets.”
