He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, John Horvitz and Molly Horvitz (Sagar); his stepmother Rose Horvitz; his wife Beverly Ruth Howard (Kahan); his former life partner Vivien Weissman Howard; his sister Pauline Topol; his children, Marjorie Evans (Douglas) and Brian Howard (Sarah); his grandchildren, Danielle, Samuel, Stephanie Evans, Benjamin, Maxwell, Joshua and David Howard; and his brother Rabbi Herbert Horvitz (Judith).
