He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Frederika Reker and Walter Reker; his wife Barbara; his sons, Steve (Christine) and Tim (Kelly); his grandchildren, Justin, Tyler, Kristen and Hunter; his great grandchildren, Jemma and Jaycee; his brother Merlyn Reker; and his niece Cheryl.
