It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dora Morris of Miami, Florida, who passed away on December 5, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Celido Mendoza and Caridad Mendoza; and her son James Edward. She is survived by: her siblings, Celida, Celido Jr., Anna, Armando and Asela; her husband James Edward Morris; her children, Phyllis Jeanne (Richard Hamilton) and Paul Joseph (Amy Catherine); her grandchildren, Jennifer Laura, Leslie Anne, Melody Jayne, Sarah Elizabeth and James William; and her great grandchild Connor Rahilly.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM at the St. James the Greater Roman Catholic Church (100 Branchview Dr NE, Concord, NC 28025). A burial will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Salisbury National Cemetery (100 Branchview Dr NE, Concord, NC 28025).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Catholic Charities for the Diocese of Charlotte, 1123 S. Church Street, Charlotte, NC 28203.
