She was predeceased by: her sister Faye Geronemus; and her brothers-in-law, Jeff Steele and Edwin Taylor Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Charles Taylor; her children, Ashley Austin, Aiden Collazo, Michael and Jennifer Austin; her grandchildren, Sage, Tyler, Kaya, Kate and Jake; her siblings, Marcia Steele and Jeffrey Angel; her siblings-in-law, Joann Angel, Suzanne Taylor, Richard Geronemus and James Taylor; and her mother-in-law Doris Taylor.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN), in honor of Gay's courageous journey and the unshakable spirit with which she faced every challenge.
