She was predeceased by: her parents, Nicholas Neofitou and Eftehia Neofitou; her daughter Katherina Kanakis-Katartzis (Kathy); and her former husband George Kanakis, Sr.. She is survived by: her son Nicholas; her daughter-in-law Rebeca; her son George; her daughter-in-law Maria Cristina; her cousin Irene Wood; her grandchildren, Kyle, Michell, Nicole, Andre and Ariel; her sibling's children, Katherine, Tanya, George, Ronan and Douglas; her pets, Jeter and Samantha; and her friends, Helen, Jean Stefanou and Barbara Panagakos. She is also survived by extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to in loving memory of Helen to Saint Andrew Greek Orthodox Church in Miami, Florida.
