He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, José Luis Urréchaga Vidaurrázaga and Mercedes Moreno Boscowitz; his wife Pilar Ramos Ortega; his children, Joaquín, CPA, and Eva, MD; and his brothers, José Luis, CPA and Alberto, P. E.. He was also cherished by sisters and brothers-in law, nieces, nephews, cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations to the "American Heart Association" in Joaquín's name.
