He is survived by: his parents, Sara Comettant and Luis F. Velez; his children, Nathan Velez and Priscilla Velez; and his siblings, Sarah Comettant, Robert Comettant, Luis M. Velez, Linnette Z. and Lester J. Velez. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
