Elliott Marshall Comora wrote a sympathy message

“As Judge Bloom's court reporter of choice at the Brickell Avenue firm of Male, Bloom and Bodne, I was fortunate enough to work with and get to know and love one of Miami's premier jurists. It is said and thought that because of his jovial nature, Judge Bloom took his cases lightly. These thoughts would immediately be dispelled had one just observed him in action. Judge Bloom took great interest in all matters that came before him, and sought out the truth no matter what the cost. He was one of the wittiest people that I have ever come to know. His work ethic was of the highest caliber, and even later on in his life he was hard to keep up with. Our legal and judicial system here in Miami has lost a true leader... one that cannot be easily replaced. I know his legacy in the legal profession will echo in the halls of justice for eternity. My sincere and solemn sympathies are offered to his immediate family, Elaine, Anne, David, and all of his extended family.”
