Martha Socarraz Miranda Obituary
On Thursday, February 28th 2019, Martha Miranda Socarraz passed away at the age of 86. She was born on July 1st 1932 in Camagüey, Cuba. She was married to Jose Eugenio "Gene" Miranda in 1953. They were married for 65 years. Together they had three children and built the foundation of the Miranda family here in Miami and beyond. Martha, Abuela Martha, Maca, Mom, Mami, lead her life with the perfect balance of courage and wit. Characterized by her fierce love of family and enthusiasm, she was a mother to all those who entered the doors of 2162, armed with a good story and a glass of wine. May she rest in peace with her beloved husband, her happiness, her partner in life, the late Jose Eugenio. She is survived by her children Jose Eugenio, Raul Jorge and Martha Maria, and grandchildren—her Magnificent Seven—Carlos Armando, Alejandro Andre, Julian Joel, Daniela Eugenia, Christopher Blake, Miranda Elizabeth, Andres Armando, as well as her great grandchildren Theo Armando and Lola Evelyn. May the glass continue to tingle. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 5th at 1:00 PM at St. Brendan Catholic Church on 87 Ave. and 32 St. Inurnment will be on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at 1:00 p.m.
