She is survived by: her husband Daniel Weiss; her sons, Matthew Brett Telepman (Cristina Telepman), Douglas Jon Telepman (Toni Telepman) and James Scott Telepman (Susan Telepman); and her grandchildren, Jakob Richard Telepman, Gabriela Rose Telepman, Blair Rachel Telepman, Zachary Ryan Telepman and Josh Tyler Telepman.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Riverside Gordon Memorial Chapels (5900 SW 77th Ave, Miami, FL 33143).
Merle and Daniel were recognized for their contributions to the community, including honors celebrating their support of the arts and LGBTQ causes.
