He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Dura Lee Bennett Johnson and Edwin Leon Johnson; his wife Peggy; his brother Webster; and his children, Raymond (Holly), Bruce (Debbie) and Connie Fitzmartin (Tom). He was also cherished by nine grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
