He was predeceased by: his father William Boyer; his wife Myrtis Boyer; his children, William Michael and Linda Marie Leggett (Ray); and his siblings, Harlan, Sylvan, Thomas, William, Marion Lee, Milton, Alice, Bessie, Barbara and Margaret.

He is survived by: his children, Lynn Hutton (Frank), Patricia Boyer, Bob Hutcherson, Margaret Mickler and Harriet Mauldin (Jack); his grandchildren, Matt Hutton, Keith Leggett, Adam Boyer, Robert Hutcherson, Jr., Charles Hutcherson, John Hutcherson, Theresa Dela Cruz, Jason Mickler, Kenneth Mauldin, Daniel Mauldin and David Mauldin; and his great grandchildren, Braydon Boyer, Drew Hutton and Nate Hutton. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
