He was predeceased by: his father Joseph P. Raines, Sr.; his brother Larry M. Raines, Sr.; and his mother Lillian Prince Raines. He is survived by: his wife Janet Hamilton Raines; his daughters, Keli Brignano (David) and Holli Scharinger (Scott); his brother Joseph "Joey" Raines, Jr. (Fran); his siblings-in-law, Barbara Johnson (Mike) and Ronald "Ron" Hamilton (Jolene); his grandchildren, Peyton, Gabriel, Halli Scharinger and Christopher Brignano (Jessica); and his nieces and nephews, Larry Raines (Lisa), Brian Raines (Pam), Brandon Raines (Dawn), Heather Chapman (James), William "Kent" Thames, II, Russell Thames and Kim Reynolds (Steve). He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lewis Funeral Home Pace Chapel (4777 W Spencer Field Rd, Pace, FL 32571). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Serenity Gardens (6208 Stewart St, Milton, FL 32570).
