Elenora B. Jernigan Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on September 13, 2025, at the age of 97, Elenora B. Jernigan (Milton, Florida) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Nathan Bush, Sr. and Mamie Von Axelson Bush; her husband Jesse Travis Jernigan; and her siblings, William Eric Bush (Buck), Joseph Nathan Bush, Jr. (Red), George Bush (Mickey), Mary Alice Peacock, Nellie Jo Bush, Enez Robra and Virginia Mathews.

She is survived by: her son Elton Jernigan (Caroline); her grandsons, Daniel Jernigan (Kendra) and Robert Jernigan; and her brother Melvin R. Bush. She is also survived by nieces, grandnieces, great-grandnieces, nephews, grandnephews, great-grandnephews, cousins, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hopewell Primitive Baptist Church, 6720 Hopewell Rd, Milton, FL 32570.
