He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Spears and Emma Spears; his wife Celest; his son Bradley; and his brothers, Wastel, Gene and David.
He is survived by: his daughter Glenna Shephard (Ronald); his stepsons, Rubin and James Holley (Maggie); and his siblings, Orell Spears, Bill Spears (Shelby), Judie Dotson (Ted) and Linda Spears.
