She is survived by: her uncle Lewis (Christine Mitchell); her husband Edward Lamar Nelson; her daughter Tonjua Nelson (Leroy); her sisters, Joyce Hamilton-Williams and Melvina Hamilton-Corbett; her grandchildren, Damian Thanes, Steven Thames and Brittney Downing; and her nephew John Hamilton. She is also survived by her four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
