He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Manly L. Mathews, Sr., Minnie Pierson Mathews, William Lipsey Legg, Sr. and Minnie McDonald Legg; his parents, Manly L. Mathews, Jr. and Florence Legg Mathews Cain; and his sisters, Nancy Carol Mathews and Florence Burton Mathews Maluff.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Bevill Mathews; his children, Michael Manly Mathews and Elizabeth Mathews Money (Josh); his sister Dottie Mathews Brown (Stephen); his sibling's children, Taylor Christian Barton, William Gabriel Barton and Kellie Maluff Wyatt (Rob); his stepdaughters, Lindsey Myers Rhodes (Chris) and Stevi Myers Price (Brandon); and his grandchildren, Kennedy Grace Price, Michael Brandon, Jr., Luke Leslie Rhodes and Lily Marie Rhodes.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Bagdad Methodist Church (4540 Forsyth St, Milton, FL 32583).
