He is survived by: his wife Carolyn; his stepchildren, John Blevins and Elana McGregor (Walter); his siblings, Dr. John Cavalaris and Mary Cavalaris Kampas (late Gus L. Kampas); his nephew Leon Kampas (Rachel); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Dean and Sean Kampas; his niece Alice Hester (Brian); his great-nephew Nicholas; and his great-niece Sophia Hester.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Lynnhurst Cemetery (2300 Adair Dr, Knoxville, TN 37918). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Jim's memory to St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Knoxville, Tennessee.
