She was predeceased by: her parents, James Arren Dedge and Bessie Peterson; her husband Edsel A. Matthews; her children, Lester Q. Matthews and Lenita L. McMullen; and her great grandchild Jamie L. Weaver.
She is survived by: her sons, Edsel A. Matthews (Cholea) and Donald P. Matthews (Paula). She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, May 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM and at 11:00 PM.
