He is survived by: his daughters, Dana Putnal of Carrabelle, Christy Birge (Kelly) of DeFuniak Springs and Kasie Smith (Jeremy) of Tallahassee, Florida; and his siblings, Roger Murphy (Pam) of Monticello, Florida, Inez Stephens of Dallas, Barbara Mitchell (Mitch) of Vacaville, Georgia Cosper (Jamie) of Monticello and Shirley Potter of Tallahassee, Florida. He is also survived by four grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
