It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jo Ann Shearn Drawdy of Monticello, Florida, who passed away on February 21, 2026, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the sacred silence of farewell, Jo Ann is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. She was predeceased by: her parents, John J Shearn and Jean E Shearn (Mellott) of Ellijay, GA.. She is survived by: her husband Harland Drawdy of Monticello, FL; her daughters, Yuko Suzuki of Orlando, FL and Yinn Chen (Wong) of Dallas, TX; her sister Judy Shearn Farmer of Lakeland, FL; her nephew Matthew McCabe of Lakeland, FL.; her daughters, Melissa McCoy (Read) and Stacy Blair (Read); and the mother of her child Jo Ann.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Jo Ann's memory to Big Bend Hospice or North Florida Animal Clinic, two causes close to her heart.
