He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Smith and Linda Smith; his brother Willie; and his close friend Keith Broxton. He is survived by: his wife Marian; his children, Jessica Smith (Nick), Amber Blanton (Hunter), Merlin Smith, II and Cassidy Smith; his siblings, Mary Everett (Donnie), Holly Gambrel (Danny) and Jason Smith; and his close friend Rich. He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Monday, May 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Davis-Watkins Funeral Home Chapel (1474 FL-83, Defuniak Springs, FL 32433).
