He was predeceased by: his parents, J. G. Ray, Jr. and Bettye Bouterse; his siblings, Betty Ann, Becky and Michael; and his pets, Maggie Day, Jingle Bell and Popcorn.
He is survived by: his wife Pamela Brown; his stepdaughter Wendy Allison Ray; his children, Darby Kathleen (Raymond), Amy Elizabeth (Leslie), Jefferson Grover Ray, IV (Brooke) and Atticus Finch; his friend Susan Buss; his children, Chandler, Langston (Sarah), Benjamin, Morgan, Elena, Hayden, Vivian and Carter; his brother Chris (Cindy); Debbie (Bob).
