She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Garnes and Ethel Greene; and her brother John Garnes. She is survived by: her husband Asberry Johnson III; her daughters, Tracie Herring (David) of New York and Carla Johnson of New York; her grandchildren, David Herring II of Florida, Rasham McClinton of New York, Rafae McClinton of New York, Latoyia McClinton of New York and Jamie Herring of Georgia; her close friend Ana Cruz; Claude. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
