We are sad to announce that on July 2, 2025, at the age of 90, Robert Newton Johnson of Mount Dora, Florida, born in Rome, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lee and Carol Louise Johnson; his wife Barbara Ann Johnson; and his brother David Tinsley Johnson. He is survived by: his children, Rob Johnson (Carolina), Bryan Johnson (Cheryl), Todd Johnson (Debbie) and Lu Anne Johnson; his grandchildren, Taylor, Meagan, Matthew, Betsy, Oliver, Emily and Eli Johnson; his sister Carol Hines; and his siblings-in-law, Eddie Hines and Linda Johnson. He is also survived by his family, Bob was more than a father or grandfather.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:50 AM at the Allen J. Harden Funeral Home (1800 N Donnelly St, Mt Dora, FL 32757). A graveside service was held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Pine Forest Cemetery (1801 N Donnelly St, Mt Dora, FL 32757).
He generously supported organizations close to his heart, including Wounded Warrior Project, Tunnel to Towers Foundation, and Samaritan's Purse, always finding ways to help those in need.
