She was predeceased by: her parents, Curnel D. Vaughn and Prudence H. Vaughn; her in-laws, George P. Boyce and Mary E. Boyce of Poultney; her daughter Jean; and her siblings, Janice Coley, Millicent Cross, Charlotte Collamer and Millard Vaughn.
She is survived by: her husband Charlie; her children, William (Melanie) and Nancy LaCross (Ivan) of Holly Springs, NC.; and her grandsons, Eric LaCross, Nathan and Noah Boyce. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Always eager to help, Shirley was a devoted volunteer who, for decades, lead fundraising efforts for the American Cancer Society and the American Heart Association. Aside from spending time with family, her greatest joy was donating to worthy charities.
