She was predeceased by: her parents, James Richard and Ethel Shannon (Tomkins); her husband John Martin of Lancaster; and her siblings, Ralph "Whitey" Hersom, Lyle "Cakie" Hersom and Marguerite "Maggie" Hersom of Groveton.
She is survived by: her children, Christina Martin of Mount Dora, Florida and James Martin of Hopkinton; and her grandchildren, Paige and Patrick. She is also survived by her children and grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Sylvia Martin to the Lancaster Christ United Methodist Church General Fund, 135 Main Street, Lancaster, New Hampshire.
