With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Douglas Sharer of Mulberry, Florida, born in Binghamton, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 14, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George and Myrt. He is survived by: his cousin Nancy; his wife Joyce; his stepfather Jim; his brothers, Bob (Dawn) and Ron (Shirley); his sisters-in-law, Ida and Sandy; his siblings, Gary (Shirley), Dale, Susie (Jon) and Sherrie (Paul); his children, George (Melissa) and Mona (Mark); his grandchildren, Marky (Mark), Angel (Dillon), Chasity and Dillon; his great grandchildren, Brayden, Brantley, Joycelen, Trinitie, Kinslee and Larry; and his grandchild Westyn.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Seigler Funeral Home (1300 State Rd 60, Mulberry, FL 33860). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Florida National Cemetery (6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL 33513).
His family asks that any donations be made to Good Shepherd Hospice.
